The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting is a group of individuals who promote Catholic religious values within the Scouting movement in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.  We are part of Region 3 (PA/NJ) of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS).  We are also a member of the Organization of Youth and Young Adults (OYYA) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting is comprised of local Catholic Committees on Scouting:

Scouts Equal Access Act signed Sen. Helms' Scouts Equal Access Act was signed by President Bush the week of January 7, 2002 This ensures that schools cannot discriminate against the Scouts if they expect to receive tax dollars.

The Region 3 Annual Conference

	Dec 5, 2001		Unit submits applications to the Catholic Committee of their diocese.
	Dec 15, 2001		Each diocese should submit their choice of Pack, Troop and Crew/Post for consideration to Region 3 (PA/NJ) of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) c/o Frank Koller, 511 Valmore Rd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030 - Phone 215-943-6175.
	Jan 1, 2002		The Chairman and Chaplain of Region 3 identify their choice of Pack, Troop and Post/Crew to receive the Golden Medallion Flag and Certificate. All units submitting applications receive a certificate of recognition.
