 What is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committe on Scouting?

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting is a group of individuals who promote Catholic religious values within the Scouting movement in the Phiadelphia, Pennsylvania area.  It is part of Region 3 (PA/NJ) of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS). The dioceses served in Region 3 are listed on the Region 3 site.    Each diocese has a Chaplain and a Chairman.

You can order an entire manual on the 1999 event by contacting the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry, 202-636-3825.  If you would like, they can send you an order form with a listing of many items for the celebration.

Deadline: National Golden Medallion application due
Dec 5, 1999 unit submits applications to the diocese
Dec 15, 1999 diocese submits one pack/troop/post to Region 3 NCCS.
Jan 1, 2000 Region 3 NCCS selects one pack/troop/unit to receive the award. All units submitting applications are also recognized.

Pray the Rosary 
October 14, 2000 - place to be determined, PA
Nationwide program sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, but held at a state level.  A "living rosary" will be constructed.  Instructions and specifications to make one large bead will be forth coming.  They will be connected at the site to form a huge living rosary!  This should be amazing.
