The Bucks County Catholic Committee on Scouting (BCCCS) is a group of individuals who promote Catholic religious values within the Scouting movement of the Bucks County Concil, Pennsylvania area.  It is part of Region 3 (PA/NJ) of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS). We are also a member of the Organization of Youth and Young Adults (OYYA) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The Region 3 Annual Conference

September 10-11, 2000 (Sunday, Monday) at Clarion Hotel & Conference Center (formerly The Emblers) 1700 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013 Phone 800-692-7315 Fax 717-243-6648 Registration is at 5:00 pm on Sunday evening, Reception at 6:00 PM and Dinner at 7:00PM. October 14, 2000 - place to be determined, PA Nationwide program sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. A "living rosary" will be constructed on a statewide level. Large beads will be connected at the site to form a huge living rosary!

World Youth Day 2000 (for USA)

October 28-29, 2000 You can order an entire manual on this event by contacting the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry, 202-636-3825.  They can send you an order form with a listing of many items for the celebration.

Deadline: National Golden Medallion application due

	Dec 5, 2000		Unit submits applications to the Catholic Committee of their diocese.
	Dec 15, 2000		Each diocese should submit their choice of Pack, Troop and Crew/Post for consideration to Region 3 c/o Frank Koller, 511 Valmore Rd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030 - Phone (215) 943-6175.
	Jan 1, 2001		The Chairman and Chaplain of Region 3 identify their choice of Pack, Troop and Post/Crew to receive the Golden Medallion Flag and Certificate. All units submitting applications receive a certificate of recognition.

	Scout Sunday was held on Feb. 4th at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Morrisville. About 12 Cub awards were given although about 175 were presented at various parishes.  There were 39 AAD's, 4 Cardinal Krol and one certified counselor certificate/patch for Ronnie Simancik. Father John Wendrychowicz celebrated the Mass and Father Gerlach was the con-celebrant.  The Knights of Columbus participated in the entrance procession.  We had a great turnout.
