Vespers at St. Mary’s

Can you spare a half-hour for the Lord?

Vespers is going to be celebrated on all the Four Sundays of Lent, which will start on March 9, from 4:30-5:00 p.m. that it may help us sanctify the Lord’s Day more perfectly by closing the day in praise of and thanksgiving to God.  It is a great opportunity of blessings for all of us.

• Solemn Liturgy of the Passion - 3:00 p.m.
• Stations of the Cross & Veneration of the Cross - 7:30 p.m.

Please remember Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence.

Holy Saturday

• Tenebrae - 9:00 a.m.
• Blessing of the Food - 12:00 Noon
• Easter Vigil Mass - 8:00 p.m. ~ There is NO 5:30 Mass

Divine Mercy Sunday Invitation

DivineMercy_smThis service will take place at 3 p.m. in Church Sunday, April 27.  There will be Exposition, the Chaplet and Veneration of the Divine Mercy Image.  To prepare for Divine Mercy Sunday, one should start the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday and end on Saturday, April 26.  To receive the Divine Mercy plenary indulgence, one must receive confession and absolution within one week of Divine Mercy Sunday, receive Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday, pray the chaplet and pray for the Holy Father (Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be).  Tentative plans are underway to also honor our latest saints, Popes John Paul II and John the 23rd.  Any questions, call 297-7930.
