HOLY FAMILY CATHEDRAL PARISH, KUWAIT CITY |

1. The Nativity Monthi Fest Novena will begin on Monday 30th August after the Evening Rosary.
2. The Parish English Holy Hour will start at 4.45p.m. on First Friday, September 3rd.
3. The Pre- Baptism Seminar will be on 20th September. Parents and godparents, please register at the Parish Office.
4. The Registration for the Catechism Children can now be done for all the Catechism Classes. On Friday morning from 8.30 to 11.30 a.m. the Registration can be done in the Good Shepherd Hall, Room no. 9, 1st floor. Registration Forms can be found at the Parish Office, Resource Centre and the Catechism Office. Please do not delay.
5. We would like to thank you all the anonymous donors who have been donating to the Cathedral for the work that has been happening in our Campus and in the Cathedral. God bless you and your family in abundance and grant you your heart’s desire. We do appreciate your kind gestures towards the Lord and the welfare of the Church of God.
6. All the new and old Pastoral Helpers are requested to fill the forms available in the Parish Office and to submit it before 5th September. We call upon all the generous people of different nationality, language, prayer groups, rites, young and old to come forward to help us organize and to reach out to the faithful. Kindly enroll your names.
7. We need volunteers to come forward to help us in keeping the Cathedral clean. Anyone who is interested in helping us to keep the Cathedral clean on regular basis, kindly approach the Parish Priest in person.
8. Only during Ramadan, the Morning Prayer will start at 6.45 a.m. and the Rosary will be recited after the 7.30 a.m. Mass.
9. Only for the month of Ramadan, the Sunday Morning Mass will begin at 7.00 a.m. and on the weekdays of Ramadan, the Morning Masses will be at 7.00 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.
10. Those who visit the Adoration Chapel are kindly requested not to touch the glass panes, where the Blessed Sacrament and the Holy Bible are placed. Please pray in your place.
11. The Parish Office is open daily (except Mondays) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. |

Bishops Pastoral Visit His Excellency Bishop Camillo Ballin mccj, the Vicar Apostolic of Kuwait is making the official Pastoral visit to our Parish from September 9th Thursday to September 15th Wednesday. As part of it there will be a public audience with the Bishop on September 14th Tuesday after the 6.00 p.m. Mass. September 14th being the feast day of the Holy Cross, we are having a solemn celebration of the feast together with the Lordship. We invite every parishioner for the celebration of the feast and for the public audience.
Private audience with the Bishop As part of the Pastoral visit, parishioners who would like to have a personal meeting with the Bishop may do so on September 11th Saturday and 12th Sunday during morning hours from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
Catechism Class Catechism classes will begin on the 17th Sept 2010. All children, both new and old are required to fill in and submit the registration form by the 3rd September Friday along with 10 KD and a stamp size photograph. Collection of registration forms at the catechism block will be done on Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Please be informed that we are collecting the registration fee 10 KD as per the instructions of the Bishop.
New Catechism Teachers Those interested in becoming Catechism teachers or assistants during the new Catechism year are invited to fill in the registration forms. There will be a meeting of all Catechism teachers on August 27, 2010, Friday, at 10.00 a.m. in the Catechism Block. The attendance is compulsory.
New Altar Servers We invite those boys who received first Holy Communion this year and have not registered their names to be altar boys to do so before September 17, 2010. There will be a training programme arranged for the altar boys on September 18, 2010, Saturday after the morning 6.15 a.m. Mass.
Wedding Anniversary Mass We are inviting couples who are celebrating their wedding anniversary in the month of August to register their names at the parish office. The thanksgiving Mass will be on 28th Saturday at 6.00 p.m.
Christian Life Programme The Single for Christ (SFC) is conducting a Christian Life Programme here in our parish in 12 consecutive Fridays from September 3rd to November 26th. The course is intended for single men and women from 21-40 years old. Those interested to participate may contact the SFC volunteers outside the Church.
KNST 30TH Anniversary Celebrations As part its 30th anniversary celebration, the Kuwait National Service Team is oragnising various programmes in different parishes during the Eid Holidays
The programme of activities is as follows
9th September 9.00 am to 4.30 pm nurses retreat in Malayalam at Ahmadi church
10th September 11.00 am to 2.30 pm recollection in Tagalog at Cathedral church
10th September 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm seminar for Charismatic Leaders at Don Bosco School
11th September 9.00 am to 5.00 pm recollection in English at Salmiya church
12th September 9.00 am to 5.00 pm recollection in Malayalam at Abbasiya church
12th September 9.00 am to 5.00 pm nurses retreat in English at Ahmadi church

1. In preparation for the feast of the Nativity of our Lady, we will commence a Novena/Roasry to our Lady from August 30, 2010.
2. On Wednesday, September 8, 2010 we will celebrate the feast of the Nativity of our Lady. Please note the Mass timings: 615 a.m. and 7.15 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. in the Courtyard in English, and at 8.30 p.m. a Festive Mass in English in the Church.
3. On September 3, 2010, the First Friday of the month, the Holy Hour Adoration will begin at 6.00 p.m. followed by Mass at 7.00 p.m..
4. The Theresian Summer Club Fete will be on Saturday September 11, 2010 starting from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. This Fete is held each year to generate funds for the following year's Summer Club activities for our children. Your generosity with donations of cash, gifts and foodstuff will be greatly appreciated.
5. Catechism classes in the Parish will re-open on Friday September 17, 2010 after the 8.30 a.m. Children's Mass. Classes are being held at the IEAS from 10.00 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. Registration forms for new admissions are available at the Resource Center. Kindly submit duly filled in forms along with a copy of the child's Church Baptism certificate.
An appeal for more volunteers for the Catechism Ministry: Persons who are practising Catholics, able to give time and commitment to teach the Faith and are prepared to attend training for this purpose, may submit their name and contact number at the Resource Center.
6. Parishioners who bring their vehicles to Church are kindly requested to abide by Kuwait's traffic rules whilst parking so as to not inconvenience others. "Do unto others, as you would have them do to you" should henceforth be our motto whilst parking.

1. Let us pray for the success of Summer club and Retreat for our children conducted in this week. Parents are requested to make special prayers at home for this purpose.
2. Bishop Joshua Ignatius will conduct the seminar in Malayalam for the Catholic nurses from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m.in this hall on Monday, 6th September, 2010. All those who interested in health ministry are welcome.
