The First Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Kuwait is Mons. John John Kallarackal. He was born on 10th May 1967 in Kanjirappally (Kerala State, India).
He had his school education in St. Dominic’s U.P. School, Kanjirappally and St. Ephrem’s High School, Chirackadavu.
Mons. John did his Minor Seminary Courses at Mary Matha Minor Seminary, Podimattom and completed his studies in Philosophy & Theology at St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary, Aluva.
Mons. John served as Asst. Vicar of St. Anthony’s Church, Anackal in 1993.
From 1993 – 1996, he served as Secretary to the Bishop of the Diocese of Kanjirappally.
Mons. John has a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Oriental Institute, Rome and a Diploma in Diplomatic Sciences from the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome.
On 1st July 2002, he was admitted as a Member of the Diplomatic Corps of the Holy See, Vatican.
From 2002 - 2004, he was appointed Attaché and later Second Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Algeria and Tunisia.
From 2004 - 2007, he was appointed Second Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Thailand and other six South East Asian Countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam)
Since 1st August, 2007, Mons. John is the First Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Yemen and of the Apostolic Delegation to the Arabian Peninsula.
