Fr. Angelos Masoud was born on 21st March 1975, in Cairo, Egypt.

It was in the Neo-Catechumenal Way, that Fr. Angelos found an itinerary of Catholic formation, "as an effective means of Catholic formation for society and for the present time". Therefore, he joined one of its communities in the year 1992.

Three years later, he felt that God was calling him to become a priest. He was accepted to become one of the candidates in the Inter-ritual Diocesan Missionary and International Seminary of the Neo-Catechumenal Way “Redemptoris Mater” in Cairo. (from 1999 to present, it has been transferred to Lebanon). At present, there are more than sixty seminaries all over the World that form men who have a genuine priesthood of service to the entire people of God, in the fraternal communion among priests.

Fr. Angelos completed his studies in Philosophy and Theology at the Pontifical University “Saint-Esprit” in Kaslik, Lebanon in 2005.

Fr. Angelos was ordained Deacon in the Coptic-Catholic Rite on the 3rd of May 2005. On the 1st of November 2005, he was ordained to the Holy Priesthood, by His Beatitude Cardinal Stefanos II Ghattas, former Patriarch of the Coptic-Catholics of Alexandria.

His first appointment was to be the personal Secretary of His Beatitude the Patriarch, and at the same time, he was given charge of the Coptic-Catholic Parish of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus in Cairo.

Fr. Angelos joined the Vicariate of Kuwait on 21st of August 2006. He is one of the assistants to the Parish Priest of the Holy Family Cathedral, for the Arabic-speaking community in Kuwait.
