As we know, in His living Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, Jesus is now fully alive both in Heaven (sitting at the right hand of the Father) and in the Holy Eucharist. While the former has made Christ absolutely invulnerable and in some way unapproachable, the latter has made Him immensely approachable yet unspeakably vulnerable to us. Anyone can love the risen Jesus to pieces in the Holy Eucharist, or harm Him repeatedly in utter sacrilege. Is the living Eucharist then not an on-going proof that the risen Lord has truly loved us with all His Heart, with all His Mind, with all His Soul and all His Strength, even until the end of the age (Mt 28:20)? Hence, the Greatest Commandment of God (i.e., to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength) is only our genuine response to God's unfathomable love for us.
