Selective Outlines

To begin with, a 10-point outline, however incomplete, is put here as regards Theology of Qi presented on October 3, 2010 at the Fu Jen Immaculate Conception Church. Praying at least three hours a day is an ideal which very few people can practically do so. In fact, it took the author more than a decade and half before he finally agreeed with such an ideal in view, for example, of constant union with God and of the countless un-Christlike qis homeing in on us ceaselessly from all directions. Apparently, prayer may be defined in three senses. In the broadest sense, everything we do in the name of Christ is prayer. Hence, one can pray 24 hours a day. On the other hand, in the strictest sense, prayer is when we communicate directly with God. However, the moderate sense of prayer is most practical, namely, that prayer time may include the time we spend during Mass, reading or meditating on the Bible, singing spiritual hymns, listening to holy music and spiritual CDs, praying the Rosary, visiting Jesus in the Chapel, thinking about God, talking with Jesus, and saying shorts prayers throughout the days, etc. In any case, whether prayer is conducted in the broadest or moderate sense, it should be built on the strictest sense as the foundation. The purpose is simply to please God as children of the Light and let His divinizing omnipresence become more transradiantly alive in and around us.

1. Christology of Qi The following 7 outlines are to be presented at 7 sessions on Christology of Qi at the Fu Jen Immaculate Conception Church every other Sunday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., beginning on Oct. 17, 2010. As a whole, this Christology studies the Cosmic Christ, or more specifically, the Esse Christ or Existence Christ. St. Thomas Aquinas said that God is Esse or Existence Itself, but he did not state and describe further that the Father is Esse, the Son is Esse, and the Holy Spirit is Esse at the same time. Hence, in terms of qi, this work attempts to explore the Son or Christ as Esse for the blessing of many.
