Preface: Inspired by The Modern Turn of China (2004), a masterpiece by Prof. Ambrose Y. C. King, the present work is a Christian vision of how Theology of Qi might contribute to the future development of Chinese civilization. After the introduction to Rev. Wang Chang-zhi's thought and inculturation, the present collection begins with an article on the Christian mission of the Fu Jen School of Thought. This work may take many years ahead to complete. In due time, Prof. Paul Kwong would contribute in terms of his Christian perspectives of natural science, social science, and insights in Chinese civilization, etc. Praise God!

1. Introduction to Wang Chang-zhi's Thought and Inculturation The process of inculturation may be divided into three phases, i.e., incultural adjustment, incultural learning, and incultural transformation or development. To a significant extent, this process can be illustrated by the scholastic thought and inculturation of Fr. Wang Chang-zhi, S.J. (1899-1960)

2. Exploring the Mission of Fu Jen School in terms of the Ultimate Process of Christianity One may say that Fu Jen School is a Chinese incultural expression of Thomistic scholasticism. This article helps us to explore and appreciate the ultimate mission of the Fu Jen School in terms of the ultimate process of Christianity.

3. An Inquiry on Zhu Xi's Li-Qi Cosmology  This article written in 2005 attempts to make an inquiry into Zhu Xi's innovative li-qi cosmology which was based on natural revelation. Zhu Xi's natural concept of the universe, therefore, has overlooked varying significant issues which only God's Divine Revelation can inspire. Nonetheless, this essay is a notable eye-opener to many today carried away by materialism and scientism as regards the cosmic reality of li and qi. Hopefully, latter articles in this volume would begin to delve into theological issues such as the Creator, His attributes of Truth, Goodness, Beauty and Holiness, as well as the cosmic aspects of humanity.
